Lava Stone Bracelet

Lava stone is the lightest bead we carry and the only one with an open, porous structure. That's exactly why it's so comfortable to wear. You barely feel it, even when you wear two or three side by side.

What makes lava stone different

Lava stone is solidified volcanic lava. The air that escaped while it cooled left the holes you see in every bead. That makes the stone light, a dull grey-black rather than deep black, and it absorbs moisture. A drop of essential oil on a bead stays noticeable for hours as a result. Besides the classic black we also carry white lava stone: the same structure, in off-white.

Care, and why it matters here

That very porosity needs attention. Lava stone absorbs soap, perfume and hand gel just as eagerly as oil, and over time turns dull and blotchy from it. Take it off before you shower, and apply care products before you put it on. White lava stone is more sensitive to this than black.

What to combine it with

Lava stone is dull, so it asks for something that catches the light. Next to the grey Moon Stones it's the combination most often ordered together with us: dull black against matte grey with a cool shimmer. Next to hematite you get matte against metallic. Next to polished obsidian you set two kinds of black against each other, which turns out more subtle than it sounds. All dark options are together in the black gemstones.

6mm or 8mm

Lava stone comes in 8mm for men and in 6mm for women. Because the stone is so light, 8mm feels less heavy here than with other stones. Measure your wrist, add one and a half centimetres and compare it with the size chart. Exchanging for another size is free.
