Amethyst Bracelet

Amethyst is the only truly purple stone in our range and at the same time one of the few where colour depth varies strongly from batch to batch. We sort for an even mid-purple rather than for as dark as possible, because amethyst that is too dark quickly looks almost black on the wrist.

The versions

Amethyst 8mm is the standard for a broader wrist and shows the colour best. Amethyst 6mm is the same stone strung finer and stays more understated. Athena is the Silver plus version with accent beads and the most outspoken of the four. Amethyst also features in the Wisdom Set.

Amethyst is not tied to a gender

Purple is often seen as feminine, but amethyst in 8mm next to a black stone reads very differently from amethyst on its own. For men the combination with matte obsidian works best: the purple becomes an accent rather than the subject. For women 6mm next to moonstone or pink rhodonite is the softer route.

Amethyst with gold

A lot of people search for amethyst with gold. We don't carry gold, so we can't supply that combination. If you still want a metal accent with the purple, the Athena is the closest alternative.

The right size

Measure your wrist with a tape measure and add about one and a half centimetres. The full breakdown is in the size chart. If you're between two sizes, we'll exchange it free of charge.
