Blue gemstone: types and jewelry

Blue is the colour people hesitate over longest, because the shade varies so much. Deep royal blue wears completely differently from sea blue or grey-blue. That's why this collection is sorted by shade, not by stone type.

From deep royal blue to light sea blue

• Lapis lazuli: deep royal blue with golden pyrite flecks, and our best-selling blue stone. Also in matte, where the blue gets deeper and the gold more subtle.
• Blue tiger eye: grey-blue with a cat's eye shine that shifts as you turn your arm.
• Aqua Terra: sea blue with brown and white veining, the liveliest pattern of the range.
• Aquamarine: light blue and slightly translucent, the softest and most summery.
• Brightening Blue Agate: banded in bright and deep shades of blue, the liveliest pattern we carry in blue.
• Ocean and Gold Turquoise: mixed blue-green with brown, strung in 6mm.

What we don't carry

Blue topaz and sodalite are often mentioned with blue gemstones, but neither is in our range. Looking for the blue with white veining that people picture with sodalite? Aqua Terra comes closest.

Wearing a blue bracelet

Blue is the only outspoken colour that works with almost any outfit, and the only one that suits denim just as well as a suit. Next to hematite it stays cool and clean. Next to lava stone it becomes earthy and dull. Want the blue to really speak? Wear it alone.

6mm or 8mm

Lapis lazuli, aquamarine and the mixes come in 8mm for men and in 6mm for women. Measure your wrist, add one and a half centimetres, and the breakdown is in the size chart. If you're in between, we exchange free of charge.
